NEWS FROM THE NORTH SIDE
We again headed up to Duluth for the Peerless World of Wheels Motor Head Madness to promote our Mopars in the Park National Car Show and Swap Meet. This year the weather was a little iffy as we had snow just before the show and there were flurry’s in the air Sunday when we left, but as we go into mid April with over 7 inches of snow in the ground at our place, a few flurry’s in March seem insignificant.
As usual we got a great spot to set up our booth. We were in the main arena close to our Duluth Chapter. They had an impressive display with 14 Mopars and as always we had a great time with the Duluth gang. We passed out many flyers for our show and answered many questions. Janet did some serious arm twisting to those who have talked about our show but never attended.
There were several other Mopars on display, including Steve Nitti with his Duster who was in another room, and also helping promote our show and club. We had a lot of interest in our show and the Duluth Chapter, and several people who were interested in joining. Great show, lots of nice cars, and everyone up there is fun to be around.
It is hard to believe that our show is only about a month away. We have been in contact with many of our WWNBOA friends as this will again be our Spring Meet and it looks like we will have a great turn out. One member from Colorado wrote back stating our Mopars in the Park is on his must attend list and it sounds like he is convincing several others to attend.
We are getting replies from all over the USA from people telling us they will be at the show. Again this year’s show should be bigger and better than ever. Kind of sad we have not had our cars out yet this year but hopefully by the end of the month temps will be back to normal and the snow will be completely gone. Don’t forget to sign up to help with the show as they can always use more people, and the more volunteers we have the more enjoyable we can make it for those who attend.
Till Next Month
